Good morning safe ones!

When we have confidence in God’s Word, it will chase away our fears.  Fear is satan’s weapon against us and it gives him access into our lives. Every day we hear news reports about various tragedies happening around the word, but when we trust in God’s covenant promises to us, we are SAFE FROM ALL HARM.

I love Psalm 91 and I exhort you to declare it over yourself every day.  Verse 1 from The Message Translation says,

• Say this: “GOD, you’re my refuge.  I trust in you and I am safe!”

This Psalm is chock full of covenant promises of protection for us who believe. They are available to you as His dear ones and all you have to do is take them for yourself, your family, your ministry, etc. by faith.  You do this by declaring them and expecting them to manifest in your life and the lives of those you love.

Now, let us look at our weapons! You might say, “Our weapons? What do we need them for?” 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 says this,

• For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Ephesians 6:12 tells us this:

• For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against power, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Verses 10-18 goes on to tell us how to be strong in the Lord and in the power of HIS might.

We are in a spiritual battle and we need our spiritual weapons to wage war on the enemy. What would you think about our US military going to war against our enemy and not having any weapons? In our new life in the Spirit (once we are born again), we need spiritual weapons. Ephesians 6 tells us what these weapons are and how to use them.

Family, the Lord is our refuge and our fortress.  When we have faith in the Word of God and in all of His promises, we are inaccessible to the enemy. Psalm 91:1 says,

• He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].

We are told in Colossians 3:3 that we who have died [to ourselves] now have our life hidden with Christ in God.

Psalm 20:7-8 says,

• Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the Name of the Lord our God.

We must trust in the Lord completely, acknowledging Him as our only true source.
