Good morning family!
I want to encourage you today to REMIND GOD OF HIS PROMISES.
One of the most powerful ways to pray is to find a promise in the Scripture and REMIND GOD what HE said about you. For example,
• “Father, You said, I’m blessed and cannot be cursed” (Numbers 23:20).
• “Father, You said, With long life, You’d satisfy me” (Psalm 91:16).
• “Father, You said, Your favor is not for a season, but for a lifetime” (Psalm 30:5).
When you say, “Father, You said”, all of heaven comes to attention. God is faithful to His Word!
Isaiah 62:6 says, “Put God in remembrance of His promises; keep not silent; give Him no rest until it comes to pass”. It does not say, “Put God in remembrance of your problems!”
Sometimes we use prayer as an excuse to complain, such as,
• “Father, these people aren’t treating me right”.
• “Father, these gas prices are so high; I don’t know how I’m going to make it”.
You do not have to tell God your problems – He already knows what you are going through. He knows our every need, our every concern. He knows the number of hairs on our head. And sure, it is okay to be open and honest and tell God how you feel, but do not turn that into a self-pity session. All that is going to do is make you more discouraged.
If you want to see things change; if you want God to turn it around – instead of complaining, find a PROMISE you can stand on in God’s Word and then go to God and say,
• “Father, You said, You would supply all of my needs according to Your riches…” (Philippians 4:19).
• “Father, You said, You are Jehovah-Jireh, The LORD, my provider” (Genesis 22:14).
• “Father, You said, You would be my vindicator” (2 Chronicles 20:17).
• “Father, You said, What was meant for my harm You will turn and use for my advantage (Gen. 50:20).
When you PUT GOD IN REMEMBRANCE OF HIS PROMISES, that is what allows Him to bring them to pass.
When you pray the PROMISES, instead of praying the problems, you will not only feel better, but God’s Word coming out of your mouth is alive and powerful (Hebrews 4:12).
When God hears HIS PROMISES, He dispatches angels with the answers – He sets the miracle into motion – He will begin to change things in your favor.
Remember, all of GOD’S PROMISES are Yes and Amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). We can break promises, but God cannot go against His Word (Psalm 89:34).
When you are constantly reminding God what He said, you are releasing your faith. You will not have time to complain if you will just stay focused on the “You saids”.
You cannot get down and discouraged as long as you have GOD’S PROMISES coming out of your mouth.
I encourage you to be persistent! “Keep not silent!”.
“Father, I thank You for giving us Your Word, which is the anchor of our souls. Thank You that You are ALWAYS for us. Continue to remind us to present our case before You, reminding You of what You said about us. You are faithful to Your Word. We praise You that Jesus is our advocate. You are true to Your Word. Thank You that You cannot lie. What You say, You will do, and for this, we are eternally grateful, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
