Good morning glorious ones!
Romans 12:3 says,
- “For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to THINK SOBERLY…”
One of the secrets to staying in the will of God is not to overestimate yourself!
Proverbs 16:18 says,
- “First pride, then the crash— the bigger the ego, the harder the fall.”
We want to be careful that we don’t think that we’re so smart that we have it all figured out!
Let’s remember that Jesus is the Head of the Church, not us! We don’t need to step in and do His job.
If this does happen, beware because 1 Peter 5:5 says,
- “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
If we will humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand, He will exalt us in due time. This way, we’ll prevent some very painful falls!
