Good morning beloved!

 

I want to encourage you today about KNOWING WHO YOU ARE.  I believe that most people go through life feeling average, ordinary, and feel that there is nothing special about them; they are just one of 8 billion people in the world.

But, when God created you, He put a part of Himself in you.  In Isaiah 51:1(HCSB) it says,

  • You who pursue righteousness, you who seek the LORD:  Look to the rock from which you were cut, and to the quarry from which you were dug.

You could say, "You have the DNA of Almighty God." Genesis 1:26-27 from the New Living Translation will give you a fresh spin ~ It says,

  • Then God said, "Let Us make human beings (Hebrews ADAM) in Our image, to be like Us.  They will reign over the fish in the sea; the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground." So, God created human beings in His Own image.  In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.

You are destined to leave your mark on this generation, just like the disciples in Acts 17:6,

  • ...These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also...

I want to exhort you that there is NOTHING average about you!!! The problem lies in the fact that we do not KNOW WHO WE ARE!  I mean, reallyhave a revelation of it! We focus on our weaknesses, what we do not have, the mistakes we have made, and the family we came from.  Then, we just settle for mediocrity when we were created for greatness!  We were created to have influence! Esther 4:14 says,

  • And who knows whether you have not come into the kingdom for such a time as this!

So, if we lack solid understanding of WHO WE ARE, then we will try to find our identity in what we do, thus enslaving us!

When you KNOW WHO YOU ARE, you will break out of being just average and you will remind yourself, "I have the DNA of the Most High God!"  "Greatness is in my genes."  "I come from a bloodline of champions."

Your Heavenly Father spoke worlds into existence; He flung stars into space; He painted every sunrise; He designed every flower; He made man out of dust and breathed the breath of life into him.  I want to remind you that God is not JUST the Creator of the Universe; He is not JUST the All-Powerful God; He is your Heavenly Father.  You have His DNA!

Just imagine what you could do if you would fully realize this for yourself!  You would not go around intimidated and insecure, thinking, "I'm lacking; I'm not talented; I come from the wrong family..."  No, you come from from the RIGHT family ~ Your Father created it all!

When you KNOW WHO YOU ARE, it changes your thinking from, "I'm unlucky" to "I have the favor of God; blessings are chasing me down."

When you KNOW WHO YOU ARE, you will start thinking like an overcomer, talking like an overcomer, carrying yourself like an overcomer. 

When you gave your life to Jesus, the Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 5:17that you BECAME A NEW CREATION. You were born into a new family.  You entered into a new bloodline. 1 Peter 2:9 (NLT) says,

  • You are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God's very own possession.

So do not go around thinking you are unworthy, having no sense of identity or belonging. According to Psalm 16:3 (NKJV),

  • You are God's EXCELLENT ones, in whom is ALL God's delight.  

I love this Scripture, so I looked it up in several translations. Each one describes you a little differently:

  • (NIV): We are God's NOBLE ones, in whom is ALL God's delight.
  • (NLT): We are God's true HEROES!  He takes pleasure in us!
  • (NAS): we are the MAJESTIC ones in whom is ALL God's delight.
  • (NET): We are the LEADING OFFICIALS He admires so much.
  • (Aramaic Bible in Plain English): Also for THE HOLY ONES who are in the earth, the GLORIOUS ONES in whom is all God's pleasure.
  • (YLT): THE HONORABLE ONES; ALL His delight is in us.

I admonish you to become acquainted with WHO YOUR FATHER IS, through the WORD and spending time with Him in prayer and fellowship because you are just like Him.

Remember that Your Heavenly Father created worlds. Jeremiah 32:27(NIV) says,

  • "I Am the LORD, the God of all mankind.  Is anything too hard for Me?"

YOU can overcome any sickness; YOU can build and support an orphanage; YOU can take your family to a new level. Stop believing those lies that you are a pauper instead of a price or a princess ~ YOU ARE ROYALTY, kings and priests unto our God and Father.  Revelation 1:6 (NKJV) says,

  • ...And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

So, like Father, like son ~ greatness is in your spiritual DNA!
