2 Thessalonians 1:4 (LEV) says,
- We boast in the Ecclesias (the called-out ones, the Churches) of God about your FAITH AND PATIENCE in the midst of all the persecutions and afflictions you’ve been bearing with.
Did you know that the power of PATIENCE is a working power? Here’s what I mean: Say you are going through something that ‘seemingly’ hasn’t changed in a long time, even though you’ve prayed and believed God. Now, your FAITH has a tendency to waver, so PATIENCE is what comes to faith’s aid to make it stand. The power of PATIENCE is necessary to undergird FAITH.
In most places in the Bible where you read about FAITH, you’ll also find it accompanied with PATIENCE. Together, they will produce every time.
PATIENCE without FAITH has no power to call into reality the desired thing.
Hebrews 11:1 says,
- FAITH is the substance of things we hope for.
PATIENCE undergirds FAITH and gives it endurance to persevere until the answer comes.
PATIENCE means being constant or being the same all the time. It means being single-minded ~ that we always respond or react in every circumstance the same way ~ on the Word of God!
Be encouraged today because this is what the Father says about you:
- “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
