Good morning faith-filled one!
Mark 11:22-25 (LEV) has some amazing things in it. First, let’s take a look at verses 22&23,
- And Jesus answering Peter said to everyone, “HAVE FAITH IN GOD like I do.” Amen, I say to you, if anyone says to a mountain, ‘Be picked up and thrown into the sea,’ and believes in his heart, not doubting, – not pulling back his confidence in God to do it – the things he says will be done by God. God will hear his command and make it happen. I’m telling you the truth, The Father will hear your commands, just like He hears Mine, and will rip a mountain out of the ground for you, throwing it into the sea! He will do what you believe He will do.
Whoa! Did you hear that? Did you get that? First of all, Jesus wants us to have faith in God the Father just like He does. Secondly, the Father will rip up a mountain out of the ground for you IF you don’t pull back your confidence in God to do it. This sounds like a joint venture to me. What do you think?
Jesus goes on in verse 24 to say:
- And because of this, I want you also to understand something regarding prayer. Whatever things you request of the Father, be believing at the moment of the request, that you are taking with your hands the things you’re asking for, then, these things will become yours.
One of my most favorite verses in the Bible (oh, I have so many) is from 1 John 5:14-15,
- 14 And this is the boldness (the confidence) that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything that is according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we are requesting, we know that we have the requests which we have requested of Him.
Have great confidence when you pray to our Father, in the Name of Jesus, because He ALWAYS hears you when you pray according to His Word! Just make sure you TAKE by faith the thing you’ve requested of God and it WILL be given to you!
Lastly, and this is such an important verse; Mark 11:25 states
- And whenever you stand praying for things, if you have anything against anyone, dismiss it and let the person go free, so that your Father in the heavens will do the same regarding your offenses. But if you do not let them go free, neither will your Father Who is in the heavens send away and forgive your misdeeds and deviations from His truth.
Another selah! It’s imperative that we release people who have wronged us. Release them and let them go free!
I pray you were encouraged today!
Love always,
Lisa Gordon
