Good morning beloved!
In America, family, many people go to church for what God can do for them, but God also wants us to LOVE ONE ANOTHER in order to stir up love and good works by NOT FORSAKING the assembling of ourselves together, but EXHORTING ONE ANOTHER. Hebrews 10:24-25,
- 24 And let us CONSIDER ONE ANOTHER in order to stir up love and good works, 25 NOT FORSAKING the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but EXHORTING ONE ANOTHER, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
We want to become more like Him, family ~ in His ways, His perspectives, His actions, and most importantly, in His LOVE toward ONE ANOTHER!
Romans 12:2 tells us,
- Do NOT be comformed to the world, but be TRANSFORMED…which comes from the word, “METAMORPHOSIS” ~ like when a butterfly turns into a catapillar.
So, how are we TRANSFORMED? Jesus said in John 8:31-32,
- 31 Then Jesus said to those…who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
And we find in John 17:17, that GOD’S WORD IS TRUTH and that He and His Word are one (John 1:1).
So, we renew our minds with the truth of the Word!
If I am free from myself, then I’m free to love you and the way I’m treated will never be the barometer of my day.
People should never be given the power to make me or break me ~ Jesus has called us to LOVE ONE ANOTHER!
Let me ask you this? How can people’s misconduct affect me if I’m in Christ, Christ is in me and He loves you?
It always has to be: “Fathere, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing (Luke 23:34).
Either it can be through intercession, mercy, tears, forgiveness, or praying for those who despitefully use and abuse you, (according to Matthew 5:44), but it will be kingdom.
It doesn’t make you a doormat. Was Jesus a doormat?
There’s teaching in the Church now about boundaries, and not getting your trust broken and I’m thinking, “I didn’t know we were so alive to have our trust broken.” (We’re supposed to have died with Christ).
I don’t live on eggshells, waiting for someone to break my trust. All my trust is in Him and He’s called me to love people.
How can people break our trust? We are called to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
WE WERE CREATED TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER!
“Father, I ask that You reveal to us our value as sons and daughers of God. I pray that this daily word of encouragement become practical so we can act upon it and fulfill our calling to LOVE ONE ANOTHER, just as You love us, in Jesus’ Name, Amen!”
