Good morning precious ones!
God will always love us, however, He’s not always pleased with our behavior. It’s so important to PLEASE GOD because our actions will determine how we’ll spend eternity. As born-again believers, we’ll go to heaven, however, the way in which we live here will determine how we’ll live in heaven. God has outlined in His Word what we need to do in order to PLEASE HIM. By obeying Him in all we do, we’ll begin to discover how we can PLEASE HIM now and throughout eternity.
Ephesians 1:5-6 (AMP, NLT) tells us that God will never stop loving us. Actually, John 17:23 declares that the Father loves us as much as He loves Jesus. However, our actions (or behavior) can displease Him. By His grace, through faith, we have everything we need to life a life that PLEASES HIM.
PLEASING GOD should be our primary goal in life. 2 Corinthians 5:9-10 (AMP) says,
- Therefore, whether we are at home [on earth away from Him] or away from home [and with Him], we are constantly ambitious and strive earnestly to BE PLEASING TO HIM. For we all must appear and be revealed as we are before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive [his pay] according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil [considering what his purpose and motive have been, and what he has achieved, been busy with, and given himself and his attention to accomplishing].
When we get to heaven, our actions will be judged. It matters how we live here on earth (see 1 Corinthians 3:12-15, AMP). The foundation in which we build our lives upon will someday be tested in heaven. For example, each of us will have to answer the question, “Have I fashioned my life after this world’s standards, or after God’s standards?”
It’s God’s will that we receive full rewards in heaven for living a life that PLEASES HIM (see 2 John 1:8). Unfortunately, many Christians choose a life that displeases Him. Once His judgment concerning our rewards and losses in heaven is set, it’s final. His judgment won’t ever be changed (see Hebrews 6:1-2).
When we fulfill God’s will for us, HE IS PLEASED. See, you were born for a specific purpose and God has already chosen it for you. You must pursue your specific assignment with effort through prayer and the Word. God will always give you clues about His specific will for your life. He will always give you a certain grace or anointing (or talent) along with a God-given passion. Allow God to be your guide in discovering and fulfilling His will for your life.
Remember to thank God everyday for giving you the knowledge of His will. The Apostle Paul prayed this in Colossians 1:9-12, that we may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. The Greek word used here for knowededge means exact, perfect knowledge. God’s spiritual wisdom isn’t a product of the senses because sense knowledge can’t fathom it.
We can turn our thanksgiving into a confession, such as: “Father, I thank You that I have the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding” (Colossians 1:9-10, AMP).
Bless you today, dear one, as your PLEASE GOD in all you do for His glory!
Thanking God for His Word,
