Good morning family!

There are TWO KINGDOMS in operation at all times ~ the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of God.  Jesus is the King of the kingdom of God, which is based on love.  Satan rules the darkness, which operates through what is called the “world” and is based in selfishness.  We can’t mix the TWO KINGDOMS by trying to be both worldly and godly simultaneously.  Listen to these powerful words from the Lord Jesus Christ from Revelation 3:15-16,

  • “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold.  I wish that you were one or the other!  But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!”

Family, we must take back our God-given possessions in this earth; however, we must also be focused on benefiting the kingdom of God.  Psalm 2:8 (AMP) says,

  • Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations as Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Your possessions.

As Christians, we are all in ministry, not just those who preach in the pulpit.  We each play a vital role in God’s kingdom.

It’s so important that we understand how kingdoms operate, and specifically how God’s kingdom operates.  Here are some established principles about kingdoms:

  1. Every kingdom has a king.
  2. Every king has dominion.

Revelation 1:5-6 says,

  • Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.  To Him Who loved us and washed us from our sins in His Own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever.  Amen.

     3.  Kingdoms have territories.

In the wilderness, Satan tried to tempt Jesus to bow down to him by offering Him the territories where he (Satan) had influence [see Matthew 4:1-10].  However, Jesus overcame the temptation with the Word of God.  Jesus knew Who He was and He refused to operate any other way than God’s way.  God wants to establish His KINGDOM today, wherever we go, even in the world.

     4.  Kingdoms have citizenship.  We’re citizens of heaven.

Philippians 3:20 (AMP) states,

  • But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also we earnestly and patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior.

     5.  Every kingdom has a constitution.  The Bible is in the constitution of God’s kingdom.

     6.  There is government in heaven.

Isaiah 9:6-7 says,

  • For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever.  The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

     7.  Kingdoms has armies.  Psalm 91:11 declares that God gives His angels charge over us.

At times in our lives, we must make difficult decisions.  We must choose either the world’s way or God’s way.  In choosing God’s way, we may face opposition and persecution.  However, God will always deliver us and promote us when we put our trust in Him.
