Good morning confident ones!

1 John 5:14-15 says,

  • And this is the CONFIDENCE that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us, and if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desire of Him.

We can have this CONFIDENCE IN GOD when we’re living a life that’s well-pleasing to Him.  We can’t ask with CONFIDENCE until there is a unity between us and God.  There was always a perfect union between God and Jesus.  That’s why He had such CONFIDENCE when He prayed.

Do you remember the story of Lazarus when Jesus said in John 11:41-42,

  • Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.  And I KNOW that you ALWAYS hear Me…

He wanted the people to know that whatever He would ask of the Father, He would give Him.

We can have this same CONFIDENCE IN GOD!  Isn’t that amazing?

All we have to do is have complete CONFIDENCE to believe that GOD won’t fail and can’t fail!

Paul teaches us that there are two classes of people ~ One which is obedient and the other, disobedient.  The obedient always obey God when He first speaks.  It’s these people that God will ALWAYS use.  These are the people who live by faith, and not by feelings.  We won’t get anywhere if we depend on our feelings. The Word of God is a thousand times better than our feelings.

   says,

  • Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

There’s a faith that rests in our CONFIDENCE IN GOD.  The reason we can rest is because God’s promises never fail.  As we continue to rely on God’s Word, we can have a faith that is resistless ~ a faith that is never daunted; a faith that never gives up and never fails.

As we have CONFIDENCE IN GOD and in His Word, we’ll begin to realize that there’s no limit to our Father’s measure.  It always pleases God when we ask Him for the most we can dare to ask for.

OUR CONFIDENCE IN GOD comes from our fellowship with Him.  I exhort you to take time for communion with Him.

I encourage you to keep your eyes on JESUS.  Get your eyes off the symptoms and the conditions, no matter how bad they may be, and get your eyes fastened on JESUS and you will find yourself rising to a higher level of faith and CONFIDENCE IN GOD!

Remaining confident in God,
