Good morning followers of the Lord Jesus Christ,

God wants all of His people perfected on the foundations of Christianity.  In Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus says,

  • Anyone who listens to My teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on a solid rock.  Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.  But anyone who hears My teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand.  When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.

To stay activated in the life of faith, we need to spend time in God’s Word, be doers of His Word and not hearers only, and seek the greatness of His power.  God’s power through the Holy Spirit is affecting people all over the earth.  Especially overseas ~ miracles are a common occurrence.  We, as God’s Church, must pray and intercede for the power of God to be evident to everyone.  2 Chronicles 7:14 says,

  • Then if My people, who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

We should desire God and His power, not a feeble form of godliness.  2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NET) says,

  • But understand this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, opposed to what is good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, loving pleasure rather than loving God.  They will maintain the outward appearance of religion but will have repudiated its power.  So avoid people like these.

God is moving and talking all the time.  I exhort you to listen to and obey Him at all costs.  Read God’s Word out loud to yourself.  Proverbs 4:20-21 (NKJV) says,

  • My son, give attention to My words; incline your ear to My sayings.  Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart…

In the same way your physical body needs to be fed, your spirit and soul need to be fed and the food is the Word of God.  We are to renew our minds to the Word of God so that we can be transformed in our thoughts to think like God.  Romans 12:1-2 (MSG) says,

  • So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you:  Take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life – and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him.  Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out.  Readily recognize what He wants from you, and quickly respond to it.  Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Let’s STAY ON COURSE and run the race that’s set before us, like Paul admonishes us to do in Hebrews 12:1 (NLT),

  • Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up.  And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

And again in 1 Corinthians 9:24 (NLT),

  • Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize?  So run to win!

Let me leave you with these amazing words of encouragement about STAYING ON COURSE from Psalm 119:1-8 (MSG),

  • You’re blessed when you STAY ON COURSE, walking steadily on the road revealed by God.  You’re blessed when you follow His directions, doing your best to find Him.  That’s right – you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road He set.  You, God, prescribed the right way to life; now You expect us to live it.  Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course You set; then I’d never have any regrets in comparing my life with Your counsel.  I thank You for speaking straight from Your heart; I learn the pattern of Your righteous ways.  I’m going to do what You tell me to do…

Staying on course,
