Hello beloved!

2 Corinthians 8:9 (LEV) says,

• But you know THE GRACE OF OUR MASTER, JESUS THE ANOINTED, that though He was rich (wealthy and abounding in material resources), because of you, He became poor, (like a begger is poor), that you, through His poverty (the condition of being destitute of riches and abundance), should become rich (have an abundance of outward possessions and be richly supplied).

This came from the original greek bible!

Did you read that? Did you hear what it is saying? JESUS WAS RICH and for your sakes, HE BECAME POOR, like a beggar is poor. See, John 1:14 says,

• The the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory the glory as of the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth.

In the beginning, JESUS WAS THE WORD OF GOD.  This is what John 1:1-3 says,

• In the beginning was THE WORD and THE WORD was with God and THE WORD WAS GOD! He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

Jesus left the glory of heaven where He was extremely wealthy – the streets are paved with pure gold!

But FOR OUR SAKES, He became poor (in comparison to the glory He had with the Father).  There was a great exchange.  He gave up His glory FOR US!  Philippians 2:6-8 says,

• …Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Wow, what an amazing God we serve!

Hebrews 2:9 further expounds upon this.  It says,

• But we see Jesus, Who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by THE GRACE OF GOD, might taste death for everyone.

Look at the Lord Jesus now.  In Revelation 5:12 we read,

• …”Worthy is the Lamb Who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

Praise God! I cannot wait to get to heaven to be a part of the glory and worship that goes on continually day and night.

We are so blessed to be a part of the family of God! I awaken each morning with thanksgiving in my heart for all that Jesus did for me and cannot stop praising Him for His goodness and His mercy toward you and me.

I exhort you to remember how much Jesus suffered and what a price He paid for you!

You are truly His beloved!

Walking in His grace,
