Good morning faith-filled one!

In Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) we find the definition of faith.  It says,

• Now FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, the evidence of things not seen.

I love Hebrews 11:1 ~ As a matter of fact, I adore the whole Word of God. It is not only wonderful, but it has the power to change things in our lives. Hebrews 4:12-13 (MSG) says,

• God means what He says. What He says goes. His POWERFUL WORD is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We cannot get away from it – no matter what.

Any natural condition can be changed by the Word of God, whether it be sickness, depression, lack, anything. The POWER OF GOD’S WORD will work for every person who dares to believe it! There is life and health in the Word of God. Proverbs 4:20-22 says,

• My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings.  Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are LIFE to those who find them and HEALTH to all their flesh.

When we receive the Word of faith, we receive the nature of God Himself. When we lay hold of God’s promises in simple faith, we become partakers of His divine nature according to 2 Peter 1:4. As we receive the Word of God, we come into His supernatural power which will make dead things live. This power is what changes and transforms us in the image of the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1-2). As we continue in His Word by faith, we will go from faith to faith and from glory to glory.

This is what we do according to Hebrews 12:2,

• Look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…

Jesus is our life and the power of our life.  John 6:63 says,

• It is the Spirit Who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.  The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

As a matter of fact, Acts 5:20 says,

• Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.

This is the only book on earth that has life!  Jesus said in John 10:10,

• I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].

It is by faith that this divine life is imparted. We have to receive it by faith. That is why FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN. Randy put it this way, “FAITH is the way things you hope for get manifested.”

That is why the Scripture tells us that we are to guard our hearts with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).

The Word of God is greater than anything else.  As a matter of fact Proverbs 3:15 says,

• All the things you may desire cannot compare with it.

You will find everything you need in the Word of God to live a victorious, joyful, and successful life.  Joshua 1:8 (AMP) says,

• This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.

The Word of God is so full of life, light, and joy, it is like living days of heaven on the earth (Deuteronomy 11:21). That is why our Lord Jesus told us to pray that His will be done here on earth just like it is being done in heaven (Matthew 6:10).

There is no darkness in the Word of God.  His Word is full of light.  1 John 1:5 says,

• God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

Because God and His Word are one (John 1:1), His Word is full of light.

Do you remember what happended in Exodus 10:22-23?  It says,

• So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days.  They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days.  But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

The same holds true for us when we live by faith in the Word of God.  Remember when Paul declared in Galatians 2:20,

• I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Paul then tells us to follow him as he follows Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1).

Thank God that through the knowledge of the truth (the Word of God), we can have something more real than people who live in this tangible world.

Living by faith in the Son of God,
