Hello brave one!

Hebrews 11:1 (LEV) tells us WHAT FAITH IS.  It says:

  • Faith is trusting God, being full of hope and having confidence in Him. It is believing that what He has promised He will also perform.  Faith is that inside proof, the inner conviction, that what is currently not seen will become seen.

The Scripture tells us in Jeremiah 1:12 that God watches over His Word to perform it.

So, you can be full of hope and have absolute confidence that if God says something in His Word and you trust in what He said, you are walking by faith and not by what you can see.  Be encouraged by what 2 Corinthians 4:18 says:

  • …while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.  For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Sounds a lot like faith, huh?

If you read through the 11th chapter of Hebrews, you will find example after example of what it looks like to live by faith.  This is something we want to strive to do because the Word of God says in the 6th verse of Hebrews 11,

  • Apart from faith it is impossible to please God.  The ones coming to and seeking after God must believe Him (have faith in Him) and to those who do, He will become their rewarder.

Genesis 15:1 says,

  • …I Am your…exceedingly great reward!

I pray you are encouraged to walk by faith today!

Blessings to you, my dear faith-filled ones,

Lisa Gordon
