Good morning believing one!

I woke up this morning listening to Mark Chapters 13-16 on our website.  It’s from Randy’s brand new Bible Translation, called the Love Expressed Version or LEV.  (I refer to this translation when I send you my daily words of encouragement because it’s precise, accurate and right from the greek language).

2 things really made an impression on me.  The first was from Mark 13:5 where Jesus says:

  • You must be careful that no one deceives you.  Many are going to come claiming to teach what I have said and proclaiming that ‘I Am’, yet their teachings will not be My teachings at all.  They will mislead many by the things they say.

It’s very important in these last days to ONLY believe what you hear if it’s directly out of the Scripture or by the Holy Spirit.  The Scripture clearly teaches that the Spirit and the Word agree.

Secondly, I felt so overwhelmed by what Jesus did for me (and you).  As I continued listening to Mark chapter 14, I began to weep when I got to verse 65 that says:

  • Then some began spitting at Him.  Others covered His head and hit Him violently with their fists saying, “Prophesy!”  The servants also repeatedly slapped His face.

Can you even begin to understand the GREAT LOVE Jesus has for you?   It’s beyond human comprehension, yet we experience it every day as His believers (His true sons and daughters).

I exhort you to take time today on your drive to work, on your lunch break or when you get home and thank Him for His amazing love for you.  He paid an unbelievable price for you to have eternal life.

You are beautiful and blessed,

Your adoring sister in Christ,

Lisa Gordon
