Hello blessed of the Lord!
I want you to see a couple of things from Genesis chapters 1,2&3.
First of all, according to Genesis 1:26-27, we were created in the exact image and likeness of God. Then in v. 28, God blessed them (male and female) and after telling them to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, he gave them dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air and over living thing that moves on the earth.
Do you know what happened? They disobeyed God, lost their authority and were now cursed.
In Genesis 3:16, He said to the woman that He would greatly multiply her sorrow and her conception and that she would bring forth children in pain.
To the man God said, (Genesis 3:17),
- Cursed is the ground for your sake; in TOIL you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you. And you shall eat the herb of the field in the sweat of your face…til you return to the ground.
We all know that the Good News of the gospel is that Jesus became a curse FOR US, so that the blessing of Abraham would come upon us, the Gentiles. (Galatians 3:13-14)
Look at what Proverbs 10:22 (NIV) says,
- The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, WITHOUT painful toil for it.
See, God wants to be our sole source and out ONLY supply! The reason we are so frustrated, suffering from physical and mental fatigue, is because God isn’t your ONLY source!
Psalm 62:5 says,
- …For my expectation is from Him. He ONLY is my rock and my salvation.
So, what do we need to do? We need to place a demand on the supply ~ it’s all there in ABUNDANCE. It’s in eternity and ONLY FAITH can pull it out.
We didn’t have to TOIL for our salvation ~ it was a FREE GIFT! So, why do we think we have to TOIL for our food, shelter and clothing? (See Matt. 6:24-34).
I encourage you not to forget all His benefits! (See Ps. 103:1-5)
In closing, look with me at Amos 9:13-14 (MSG),
- “Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree. “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for My people…
