Good morning, precious ones!

Revelation 2:2-4 says, (Love Expressed Version),

  • I am aware of your acts and your toil and endurance, and that you cannot bear evil men…You have born and endured much because of my Name and have not faltered, but I have this against you, that the love you first had you’ve left behind.

Because Jesus tells us in Matthew 22:37-39, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor and yourself”, it’s imperative that we DON’T LEAVE OUR LOVE BEHIND, in either case ~ loving the LORD our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength AND loving our neighbor as ourselves.

Galatians 5:6 says, “Faith works by LOVE”, so if we wonder why our faith isn’t working, we need to check up on our love life.

Do we have unforgiveness towards someone?  Have we not repented (changed our minds) and continue to love one another, even if it hurts?

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 tells us what LOVE looks like, so what I do, is line my actions up with this Scripture and if it doesn’t look like this, I refuse to do it, in Jesus Name.  If I slip up and miss it, I immediately confess my sin and thank God that according to 1 John 1:9, I am forgiven and cleansed and go on.

Repentance means turning our hearts and minds in a new direction.  That’s why I stress the importance of renewing our minds, so that we won’t be conformed to this world, but instead be transformed (like a catapillar into a butterfly).

The only conforming we want to do is to be conformed into the image of Jesus (Romans 8:29).

Let’s be imitators of God, as dear children.

You are so valuable,

Lisa Gordon
