Hello victorious ones!

Revelation 19:15 says,

  • Now out of His mouth goes A SHARP TWO-EDGED SWORD that with IT He should strike the nations…

What’s that mean?  Why did John describe what proceeded from Jesus’ mouth as A SHARP TWO-EDGED SWORD?

Well, do you remember what Hebrews 4:12 says?

  • For the Word of God is living and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Remember in my last daily word of encouragement called, “THE WORD OF GOD” that Jesus and His Word are one?

Well, let me ask you a question?  Are you separate from your words?  The answer is “No”, just like Jesus and His Word is one.

Do you see how powerful the Word of God is?  That’s why I stress the importance of putting the Word of God into your heart and speaking it out of your mouth.

The Word of God isn’t just plain, non-operative words – They are alive and full of power.

Ephesians 6:17,

  • Take…the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God…

YOU take it!

We are in a covenant with Almighty God and in a covenant (like a marriage covenant), there are 2 parties.  God has His part and we have ours.

Our part is to plant His Word, the incorruptible seed into our hearts, believe it (because faith or believing comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God), and speak it out of our mouths.

God’s part is to perform it!

Jeremiah 1:12 says that,

  • God watches over His Word to perform it.

This is why, when Jesus was led into the wilderness and was tempted by the devil, Jesus ONLY responded to him one way – “IT IS WRITTEN.”

See, the power is in the Word of God and when we put it in our hearts and speak it out of our mouths, demons flee; the dead are raised and the sick are healed. (See Matthew 10:8)

So, take your two-edged sword, speak it out of your mouth and you’ll see amazingly miraculous things that will astound you.

Love from your WORD sister,

Lisa Gordon
