Hello mighty warrior!

Matthew 5:8 (KJV) says,

THE PURE IN HEART shall see God!  God’s Word translation says,

Blessed are those whose thoughts are pure. They will see God!

As a child of Almighty God, I know you want to please God, so how do you get a PURE heart? What does that actually mean?

We always want to answer every question we have from God’s Word.  This way, our thoughts and perspectives will be God’s and not somebody’s opinion or philosophy.

We do this because Colossians 2:8 (AMP) says,

  • See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you captive by so-called philosophies, intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain nonsense), following human tradition (men’s ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah).

We need to pull down the “high” thoughts that try to exalt themselves against the Word of God (2 Corinthians 10:5).

So, how do we get a PURE heart?

Well, Psalm 119:9,11 (GW) says,

  • How can a young person keep his life PURE?  He can do it by holding on to Your Word.  I have treasured Your Promise in my heart so that I may not sin against you.

The word “PURE” from the greek language (Strong’s Concordance #2513, katharos) means:

  • Free from the admixture or adhesion of any thing that soils, adulterates or corrupts; unsoiled or unalloyed.
  • Free from unadulterated motives; clean, unstained, free from the contaminating (soiling) influences of sin

Wow, family!  We can actually be PURE by holding onto God’s Word and hiding it in our hearts. The Scripture makes it clear that this is the only way we can have a clean, PURE heart, which is our innermost soul; our inward thoughts and understanding.

We want to “see” God ~ I know I do!

Romans 14:12 says,

  • All of us will have to give an account of ourselves to God.

Let’s stay PURE before the Lord so we can (see) perceive, recognize and experience Him.

“Father, I ask that You create in us a clean heart and renew a right spitit within us.  Thank You that we can stand before You because of the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin.   We do not lift up our souls to what is false and do not swear deceitfully.  I thank You that You reward us according to our righteousness and the cleanness of our hands in Your sight.  Turn our eyes from looking at worthless things; give us life in Your ways.  We consecrate ourselves to be holy because You are the Lord our God.  You said, “To the pure, all things are pure.”  We love You, honor You and praise You for Who You are, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

He loves you dearly,
