Good morning vigilant ones!  Deuteronomy 4:9 declares,

  • Only give heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life…

It’s extremely essential that you BE VIGILANT not to forget the Word on a daily basis.  Proverbs 4:20-24 (NLT) says,

  • My child, pay attention to what I say.  Listen carefully to my words.  Don’t lose sight of them.  Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.

BE VIGILANT about what enters into your mind daily.  What you hear affects how you think and how you believe.  When we’re born again, our spirits are made new, but we have to renew our minds to the Word of God and die daily to our flesh.  Romans 12:1-2 says,

  • And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you.  Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable.  This is truly the way to worship him.  Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.

If you want to have thoughts of success and prosperity, then fill your ears with words that will produce these things in your life.  I exhort you to search the Scriptures, find the promises that relate to your personal situation, and write them down; meditate upon them, and then speak them out of your mouth.  2 Peter 1:2-4 declares this:

  • Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

If you keep hearing the Word of God by putting it into your ears, in front of your eyes and getting it into your heart by meditating upon it night and day, over time, it will form a believe, and that belief will produce corresponding action.  When we hear the Word of God again and again, it will ignite our faith to believe the promises of God for ourselves, our families, our ministries, and for the nations.

Remember, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.  Our faith doesn’t rest in men’s wisdom, but in the power of God (see 1 Corinthians 2:5).

I exhort you to pay no attention to the things of the flesh, but only the things of the spirit.  When you do this, you will bear the fruit of the Spirit:  love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  You won’t be moved by circumstances, because you will be walking by faith and not by sight.

Being vigilant,
