Good morning dearly loved of God!
I want to exhort you today to REMIND GOD OF HIS PROMISES. One of the most powerful ways to pray is to find a promise in the Scripture and REMIND GOD what HE said about you! Here are a few for you:
- “Father, You said, I’m blessed and cannot be cursed.” (Numbers 23:30)
- “Father, You said, With long life, You’d satisfy me.” (Psalm 91:16)
- “Father, You said, Your favor is not for a season, but for a lifetime.” (Psalm 30:5)
When you say, “Father, You said…“, all of heaven comes to attention. God is faithful to His Word. He watches over His Word to perform it in your life (Jeremiah 1:12).
Isaiah 62:6 says,
- Put God in remembrance of His promises; [keep not silent; give Him no rest until it comes to pass].
It doesn’t say, “Put God in remembrance of your problems.” He already knows what you’re going through. He knows your every need ~ your every concern ~ He knows that number of hairs on your head. And sure, it’s okay to be open and honest and tell God how you feel, but don’t turn that into a self-pity session. All that’s going to do is make you more discouraged.
So, if you want to see things change in your life, find a promise in the Word of God that you can stand on and go to God and say,
- “Father, You said, When the enemy comes against me one way, You would defeat them and cause them to flee seven different ways.” (Deuteronomy 29:25)
- “Father, You said, You would fight my battles.” (2 Chronicles 20:17)
- “Father, You said, What was meant for my harm, You would turn and use for my advantage.” (Genesis 50:20)
When you PUT GOD IN REMEMBRANCE OF HIS PROMISES, that’s what allows God to bring them to pass.
When you pray the promises, instead of praying the problems, you’ll not only feel better; it’ll not only change your attitude, but GOD’S WORD coming out of your mouth is alive and powerful (Hebrews 4:12).
When God hears His promises, He dispatches angels with the answers ~ He sets the miracle in motion ~ He’ll begin to change things in your favor.
Be encouraged because it may not happen overnight, but just stay in faith, and keep reminding God what He promises you, day in and day out, and instead of complaining, say, “Father, You said…“. Instead of describing the circumstances, say, “Father, You said…“. If you’ll get in the habit of saying, “Father, You said…“, then eventually you will see what “God said” come to pass in your life.
Remember this: Numbers 23:19 says,
- God is not a man that He should lie.
We can break promises, but God cannot go against His Word (Psalm 89:34).
All His promises are Yes and Amen (2 Corinthians 1:20).
REMIND GOD OF HIS PROMISES again and again. When we’re constantly REMINDING GOD what He said, you are releasing your faith. You won’t have time to complain if you’ll just stay focused on the “You said’s“. You can’t get down and discouraged as long as you have God’s promises coming out of your mouth.
Be persistent! Remember God’s Word says, “Keep not silent.” Be relentless! We need to have a made-up mind. We need to know that God will never go back on His Word. You will see your life go to a whole new level if you will REMIND GOD OF HIS PROMISES today!
