Good morning warriors!

I would like to share with you a checklist that I was taught concerning how to GROW SPIRITUALLY.

Peter exhorts us in 2 Peter 3:18 to,

  • GROW in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Just like an athlete trains hours and hours every day for years to enter a marathon or the Olympics, we are to TRAIN OURSELVES SPIRITUALLY.

Meditating on the Word of the God is the most important way you can TRAIN YOURSELF SPIRITUALLY.

Psalm 1:1-3 and Joshua 1:8 tells us that if we meditate on God’s Word NIGHT AND DAY, we will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth fruit in due season; our leaves won’t wither; and whatever we do will prosper.

When we mediate on God’s Word, WE will make our way own way prosperous and WE will have good success in every area of our lives.

Success comes from what you are meditating on:  God’s written Word!

Here is a list to help you when you come to God in order to TRAIN yourself in the things of the Spirit:

  1. Pray in your heavenly language.  This will get your mind in neutral.  (If you are NOT baptized in the Holy Spirit, sent me a shout out and I will gladly pray for you to receive this most magnificent gift).
  2. Read the Word of God over and over again.  Form a picture in your mind of what you are reading.
  3. Believe the Holy Spirit to take the things Jesus knows and reveal them to you.
  4. Apply the Word of God to your life.
  5. Allow the Holy Spirit to make the Word a reality in your spirit.
  6. Carefully ponder how this Word applies to your life.
  7. Dwell on how this Word changes your situation.
  8. Place yourself in agreement with what God’s Word says about you.
  9. See yourself as God sees you.
  10. Believe God’s Word has integrity.
  11. Say these things out loud.

I encourage you to follow this checklist in your times with the Lord EVERY DAY.

We want to seek to be all-day meditators of God’s Word, just like Jesus was.

So, remember to:

  • Fix your mind on God’s Word; dwell upon God’s written Word in your mind.
  • Speak to yourself, mutter to yourself over and over again what God has already said.
  • See yourself the way God sees you ~ born-again, baptized in the Holy Spirit, healed, etc.

“Father, You said that by putting my brothers and sisters in remembrance of these things, I would be a good servant of Jesus Christ.  Teach us, by Your Holy Spirit the importance of meditating on Your Word so that we can GROW thereby.  Your Word is the anchor of our souls.  Your Word carries weight; IT is our authority.  We are determined, in the Name of Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit. to only DO what we see in Your Word to do, and only SAY what Your Word tells us to say.  We submit ourselves to You (You and Your Word are one).  Thank you for Your Word, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
