Hello beloved!

Our greatest pursuit in life should be to walk in THE LOVE OF GOD because that is the essence of Christianity.

Jesus said in John 13:35 (NLT):

Your LOVE for one another will prove to the world that you are My disciples.

Colossians 3:12-14 (NLT) says,

Since God chose you to be holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.  Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you.  Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.  Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.

When you clothe yourself with THE LOVE OF GOD, you clothe yourself with holiness, mercy, kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering, forbearance, and forgiveness.  Walking in THE LOVE OF GOD is the bond of perfection or completeness.  Walking in THE LOVE OF GOD will help us cultivate all the elements of the fruit of the Spirit.   Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV) says,

  • “But the fruit of the spirit is:

Love, joy, peace, patience,        kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

Ephesians 3:17 tells us that we must,

Be rooted and grounded in love…

Only then will we be able to do what Luke 6:27 says,

“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.”

When you are walking in THE LOVE OF GOD, rather than retaliating against your enemy, you will be able to speak a blessing over the person cursing you and pray for his or her happiness.

See, we do not want to defend ourselves when we are mistreated because the Scripture declares in Romans 13:10 that,

LOVE is the fulfillment of the law.

It not only fulfills the law, it is a commandment from God.  John 15:12 says,

This is My commandment, that you LOVE one another as I have LOVEDyou.

It is important that we do not allow anything to separate us from THE LOVE OF GOD.  Romans 8:35-39 says,

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?  (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”  No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.  Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.  No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Walking in THE LOVE OF GOD will teach us how to overcome adversity.  Remaining in THE LOVE OF GOD will enable us to conquer everything that comes to try to defeat us.

Remember this family, LOVE covers a multitude of sins (see 1 Peter 4:8).  When you walk in THE LOVE OF GOD, you will walk in the light as He is in the light.

Let’s pray:

“Father, I bless my brothers and sisters today.  I ask that you help us to see that THE LOVE OF GOD has been shed abroad in our hearts by the HOLY SPIRIT and that you help us to see what LOVE is.  It endures long and is patient and kind; it’s never envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.  It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly.  LOVE (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong[.  It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.  Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].  Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end].

We decide to walk in THE LOVE OF GOD today, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Walking in THE LOVE OF GOD,
